Laos border crossing

Our mini bus was an hour late plucking us up. And we found out why once it arrived. Mangos filled the inside and out of our vehicle. We sat with our knees to our chests as mangos rested beneath our feet. Not only was it crowded with mangos but overbooked people and luggage. We made many stops losing mangos on the bumpy roads. Locals when come and steal th mangos as they dropped from the torn bags. This made the trip that much better..  4 1/2 hours later we transferred to another mini bus. Very thankful! We all got our own seat. Still fighting for space but much much better. The road was paved which aloud for faster and smoother travel. Visa on arrival was a bit more than we anticipated plus other additional costs. We crossed by walking. Took nearly 20 min for the entire process. Much faster than the Thailand to Cambodia crossing. We then entered another van and were taken to the harbor where a boat dropped us off on the island.
