Vang Vieng, Laos

The town up here has a good vibe with its western ways. There are big screens playing favorites such as, Friends or the Simpsons at most of the restaurants while you lean back and enjoy a Oreo shake. We turned in our passports along with $75 to a travel agency for two days in order to get our visas ready for Vietnam. Kinda weird not knowing you gave away your "lifeline" to a complete stranger. The river is nice and warm with a stunning mountainous background. There was a long walk ahead of us through the jungle before we reached the entrance to this cave where we spent about 20 min wandering through its dark caverns. It's low tide this time of year so the lagoon was too shallow to go swimming, but we found a bute to hike up with a great viewpoint of the city.
